Betty and Lucy, two littermates that were rescued from the destruction of Hurricaine Rita are looking for a new home. They are 2-3 years old and are very sweet, loving and gentle.  They are leash and house trained andare very good with children.  They are also good with other dog and cats.  Lucy lost her leg in the hurricaine and Betty had several injuries from the hurricaine as well, but has healed fully.  Both are 100% healthy and have had all of their vaccinations to date.  P.S. Brother and sister, Quaker and Coco, were surrendered by their owner because they kept getting out of their yard and getting picked up by Animal Control.  They are shepherd mixes and will be one in March, 2009. We had them neutered and spayed when we received them the end of January and they are current on their shots. They are heartworm negative. At the end of February, Quaker weighed 48 pounds and Coco weighed 30 pounds.  They are very energetic and have been together their entire short life. It is hoped that they can be adopted together.
